SDGs

The initiatives of Kizaku are socially significant as they aim to both preserve the kimono culture and address environmental issues.

Kimono is a traditional Japanese garment renowned for its beauty and craftsmanship, holding considerable value.

However, in recent years, opportunities to wear kimono have decreased, leading to an increase in their disposal.

Therefore, Kizaku endeavors to upcycle kimonos, creating new value and tackling environmental concerns.

At Kizaku, we donate a portion of our annual sales to support

healthcare and the establishment of schools in developing countries.

We want to protect lives and deliver genuine smiles through our

economic activities.

Kizaku started with the vision of "blooming cherry blossoms of smiles around the world."

We will continue to strive to bring smiles to people worldwide.

After the donation, we will provide a detailed report.

Introducing the Artisan

After training at a leather workshop in Kyoto, President Arata opened "Leather Workshop Mukuri" in Shimogamo, Kyoto in July 2017.

President Arata's motto is "First, listen to the customer."

He meticulously crafts each product, taking into account the feelings of each individual customer, one stitch at a time.

His dedication to serving customers with his utmost effort has earned high praise, attracting visitors from all over Japan.

Our representative, Oboshi, also expresses his fervent admiration for "Leather Workshop Mukuri."

Please enjoy the masterpieces created by President Arata and his team.

Our company representative, "Oboshi," and "Leather Workshop Mukuri" collaborated to develop upcycled Kimono products.

This project took over two years to complete and was released in March 2024.

By addressing the strength, stains, patterns, and product design of kimonos, we have created exceptional products.

Each item is a one-of-a-kind original, bringing smiles to customers worldwide.

From Kyoto to the world, we deliver happiness.

All our items utilize precious Kimonos filled with someone's cherished memories.

Through upcycling, these Kimonos are transformed into treasures without the need for disposal.

Furthermore, special processes are employed to enhance the fabric's durability without compromising its texture.

The world's No.1 kimono water-repellent coating technology

To protect against sudden rain,

all our items are treated with a water-repellent coating.

This technology, with the longest history in Kyoto,is the world's number one kimono water-repellent technique.

However, it is not completely waterproof, so there is a possibility of some seepage.

Please use caution when it is raining.
